Born in Locarno to an Austrian mother and an Italian father, Claudio Colucci has made movement and diversity his trademark. Having obtained a diploma in graphic design from the School of Decorative Arts, Geneva, he studied industrial design at ENSCI, Paris before completing his studies at Kingston Polytechnic, London.

Co-founder of Radi Designers, which he left in 2000, it was his collaboration with Japanese manufacturer IDEE that marked the decisive turning-point of his career : he opened his agency in Tokyo in 1998, then a second in Paris in 2003. Since then he has divided his time between Switzerland, France and Japan.

Claudio's work has 3 main focal points: furniture, interior architecture and scenography.
His creations, simple and poetic, bring a glimpse of new ways of living, integrating his research into materials, technologies and their industrialisation. He wants to surprise, destabilise and open us up to new ways of perceiving and understanding our surroundings. He was also one of the first to rediscover Corian and to restore to it its properties of translucency and luminosity - most notably with his Squeeze lights, Label VIA 2000.
