In 2011, Ligne Roset is reissuing the Saint-James chair, bridge and footstool which were originally designed in 1990 for the 4-star hotel-restaurant of the same name in Bouillac, near Bordeaux. All these bear the engraved stamp of Jean Nouvel beneath the seat, a signature all the more prized since 2008 when the great architect was awarded the Pritzker prize (the Nobel prize of the architecture world) in recognition of his life's work. This reissue underlines the timeless character of the Saint-James design. The Saint-James seating combines simple and very light lines of steel, elegantly curved, with the sensual fullness of the seat, back or arm cushions. Its threadlike, spidery appearance in no way precludes excellent comfort.
