When in closed position Janus is a magnificent contemporary settee of very modern lines which seems to float above the ground thanks to its base of fine chromed steel tubing (much thicker than it looks, it offers excellent mechanical resistance). The leather sheaths for the arms, available as an option, offer the opportunity to embellish, and so bring more warmth to, the finished article. Its generous seat depth, the various positions of the articulated back and the 2-part, mobile headrest all combine to produce a very high level of comfort. The optional broad feather-filled cushions, available in a choice of colours, bring a note of softness to its taut lines, as well as a welcome supplement in terms of comfort for those who prefer less depth to their seats.
In 'open' position, one would hardly guess that this is not just a bed, pure and simple. The lines remain elegant, with an extremely generous sleep area suspended above the ground on the one hand, and an elegant bed frame formed by the arms. With its width of 140 and length of 200, the dimensions of the sleep area position it quite firmly in the category of beds rather than bed-settees. A mattress protector and fitted sheet, designed specifically to suit the dimensions of the sleep area, are also available as an option.

CONSTRUCTION
Mechanically-welded structure. Articulated back with 3 ratchets offering 5 different positions.
The 2 mobile, independent headrests operate on a friction system. Base and armrests are made from thick chromed tubular steel, offering excellent mechanical resistance; the operation of the bed-settees is further assisted by the non-slip gliders. Removable covers.

COMFORT
Webbed suspension on seat. Seat in high resilience polyurethane Bultex foam 38 kg/m³ - 1.4 kPa. 60 x 60 feather-filled cushions (colours to choice) are available as an option. It is strongly recommended that they should be ordered.

MAKING-UP
As an option, the upper parts of the armrests may be dressed with a sheath of Catala or Indiana hide.
